The premise for the design of this cellar was a love of wine. The space was built in a listed building, which adds its own twist to the assignment.
In this year-long project, CDM was responsible for comprehensive budgeting, right up to the finishing touches, as well as the layout and interior design. The layout design was based on the creation of a bar and wine library. Using a wine barrel as part of the bar counter was a starting point for the design. The interior design consisted of colour and material choices, as well as furniture, textile and lighting design. CDM designed most of the furniture and commissioned them from a carpenter.
