The interior of Visma Solutions’ new offices in the Mall of Tripla, Helsinki, was inspired by the night lights of New York, as they are also the theme of the entire mall. CDM was responsible for the principal design of the roughly 1,500 square metres of office space. Main Interiors from Lahti were also involved in design. The project lasted a year. The COVID-19 pandemic meant the schedule had to be adapted along the way. The schedule was tight, which highlighted the value of cooperation. CDM kept its client up to date and regularly reported on the state of the budget and schedule.
These offices were designed with the users in mind. Visma’s in-house interior design group of ten employees collected users’ preferences and had the plans approved by their own team. The design consisted of colour and material choices, as well as furniture, textile and lighting design. Furniture was designed for the offices, which were commissioned as bespoke carpentry pieces. CDM was responsible not only for the design, but also for the entire project management: budgeting, furniture tendering, procurement and scheduling, all the way up to moving day.
