Visma Payments & CDM Design

“Cooperation with CDM was streamlined, easy and fast. The schedule was tight, and we stuck to it. If there were challenges with subcontractors, we didn’t have to worry about them. CDM took care of everything, which was really nice. I trusted CDM completely. They took the wishes of the staff well into account, and the space became the look of the staff. CDM took care of the job right to the end so that the drinks were ready in the fridge when we moved in.”

Terhi Karasjärvi, CEO
Visma Payments Oy

Visma Payments Oy is a payment service provider responsible for the online payment traffic of thousands of Finnish customers of various sizes. The company belongs to the international Visma group, and its operations are subject to the Financial Supervisory Authority. With the acquisition, the company moved to new offices of approximately 100 square meters. The challenge of the new facilities was overcrowding. However, the location was so excellent that the employees wanted to move there. This greatly influenced the design of the premises as well. The floors and furniture had to be designed in such a way that they can be taken with them and more can be ordered if the move to bigger premises comes soon.

Team members who do information work usually work in an office, because the work requires a lot of problem solving and it involves certain business license and information security requirements. In addition, many large screens require good working spaces. The space was designed strongly according to the wishes of the team. The users were involved in the project from the beginning, and are very satisfied with the end result. We wanted the office to be homely, so that it would be nice to spend time there. As an idea, “home away from home” describes the starting point well.

Although the space was new, everything was renewed there – walls, floors, furniture, lighting. CDM made a couple of different mood boards, of which the team chose one. Based on that, CDM made a plan, which the team could still comment on. In addition to planning, CDM was responsible for comprehensive project management, i.e. budgeting, tendering for furniture, procurement, renovation supervision and scheduling up to the move.
