The Pornainen unified school has a total of slightly less than 500 students from pre-school to the ninth grade, and more than 50 teachers and guidance counselors. Condition surveys of the existing buildings are underway in the unified school area. A multipurpose hall is also planned for the area. No decisions have been made regarding construction or renovations. This is a good point to ask students and teachers about their views and needs regarding the learning environment.
The survey was carried out with a CDM Involver bot interview, which was used to find out views on future teaching as well as needs related to functionality and pedagogy. There were slightly different questions for different target groups. The students were asked how they want to learn and what kind of environment best supports learning. The response rate was 85, which is very high. Both teachers and students were really happy when they were listened to. It becomes a sense of inclusion. The preliminary ideas obtained from the survey will be taken forward. Learning environment thinking is expanded and mirrored to existing and functioning things.
