Polar Partners & CDM Involver

“The schedule pressure was really hard, but the end result has been successful. I am very satisfied with the cooperation with CDM. The operation was really flexible. I do take my hat off, because the project was challenging. A lot of evening work was required due to the time difference. Multiculturalism, multilingualism, the respondents’ language skills limitations and the pandemic increased the challenge.”

Mervi Hakoniemi, project manager
Polar Partners Oy

Polar Partners Oy takes Finnish school knowledge to the world. In Peru, 75 public schools are being renovated. The project is huge, as numerous actors from around the world participate in it. In Peru, the school buildings are very traditional, as are the teaching methods. The goal of the project is to develop both facilities and teaching methods that will bring schools to a whole new level. Polar Partners chose CDM Involver because information about the needs of school users was needed as a basis for the design.

Designing the questions and localizing the visual look require a lot of local knowledge of multicultural Peru. Active interaction with the various parties of the project was necessary to achieve a successful outcome. In total, however, only four months were spent on the work. The information produced by CDM Involver is used in bidding for builders. Guidelines were created for the competition rules, which arose directly from the results of the CDM Involver survey.
